چکیده

Abstract Objectıve The objective of this study is to obtain normative data the masseter vestibular-evoked myogenic potential (mVEMP) test in healthy individuals without hearing loss and dizziness compare responses with cVEMP test. Methods Twenty (10 males 10 females) aged 20–30 years auditory vestibular disorders participated study. First, mVEMP then tests were applied who voluntarily Results Latency values air-conducted 15.90 ± 1.68 ms for P1 25.86 1.48 N1 9.96 1.50 interpeak latencies. P1N1 amplitude value was 97.89 37.34 μV asymmetry ratio (AR) 0.13 0.07. threshold found 84 dB nHL. According gender difference measurement parameters, latency women shorter than men at all stimulus intensities except 90 There no statistically significant between results other severity parameters 100 ( p > 0.05). Conclusıon In conclusion, it findings suggest that obtaining on could be used as an auxiliary evaluation trigeminal pathway patients various peripheral central disorders.

The Usefulness of Rectified VEMP

OBJECTIVES For a reliable interpretation of left-right difference in Vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP), the amount of sternocleidomastoid muscle (SCM) contraction has to be considered. Therefore, we can ensure that a difference in amplitude between the right and left VEMPs on a patient is due to vestibular abnormality, not due to individual differences of tonic muscle activity, fatigu...

Relationship Between Cervical Vemp (Cvemp) And Ocular Vemp (Ovemp) Parameters As Measured By Click And Tone Burst In Adults With Normal Hearing Sensitivity

Vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP) is one of the clinical tools to evaluate vestibular function. The VEMP can be recorded from sternocleidomastoid muscle by auditory stimulation with various sound stimuli. The aim of this study was to compare parameter of cVEMP and oVEMP responses as measured by click tone and tone burst across gender in healthy young individuals. Total Sixty adult par...

Migrainous Vertigo: Clinical and Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP) Findings

Migrainous vertigo (MV) is one of the most common cause of episodic vertigo and is increasingly recognized among neurologist and migraine specialist. Although MV is not included currently in the classification of the International Headache Society (IHS), specific criteria has been proposed and utilized in clinical trials. The aim of this study is to evaluate clinical presentation, VEMP findings...
